Instructor: David Desley of Woodlums Wilderness School

This workshop takes you on a journey into the ancient arts as you manufacture your own unique drum through cutting the pattern, and lacing and assembly of the drum on a wood hoop.  When done you will have the working knowledge to be able to take an animal’s rawhide for drum making or any number of the uses for rawhide. Many will be discussed during the class.  It will take a couple of days to dry.  You will find yourself tapping on the drum while it’s drying and begin the awakening period where the drum begins to find its own voice.  Everyone enjoys this time and it’s a way to become “one with your drum”. Pre-registration and a  50% non-refundable deposit is required by November 12th.
